Gregory Simms

Gregory Simms

Managing Partner

Gregory Simms is responsible for all GMC asset management. In this capacity, he oversees all GMC acquisitions, dispositions, and major rehabs on GMC communities. Gregory also oversees the property operations team and has streamlined all procedures, operational systems, and software within GMC Properties. Gregory joined GMC Properties in 1998 after serving as an F-16 fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force for nine years. He also worked in the commercial loan department for Norstar Bank, NA. Gregory holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Science from St. Bonaventure University, a Florida real estate license, and is a CPM candidate and member of the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Christopher Simms

Christopher Simms

Managing Partner

Christopher Simms oversees all GMC development and third-party management. In this capacity, he negotiates new management agreements, oversees construction and development of new GMC communities, and raises equity from both independent investment groups and institutional equity groups. Christopher joined the company in 1998 and helped move GMC Properties beyond Western New York. Prior to joining, he ran all West Coast retail accounts for the L&JG Stickley Company. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from Jacksonville University and holds the designation of CPM from the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Michael Simms

Michael Simms

Managing Partner

Michael Simms is in charge of technology and administration for GMC Properties. He is responsible for all software and secondary company programs, overseeing all budget and analytical reporting, and accounting for GMC communities. Michael joined GMC in 2007 after working in international marketing in Singapore. Michael holds a Bachelor of Art in Mass Communication from St. Bonaventure University, is a licensed real estate agent in Florida, and is currently seeking his CPM through the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Rebecca Simms

Rebecca Simms

Director

Rebecca Simms is the director of accounts payable and corporate administration. In this capacity, she is responsible for vendor management, corporate receivables, and all property payables. She also provides administrative support to all GMC communities. Prior to joining GMC, Rebecca worked with several legal and accounting companies in their technology and administration departments. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Computer Science from Alfred State College.

Jessica Simms

Jessica Simms is the director of human resources. She is responsible for all hiring, training, and development of GMC team members. Jessica also runs operations for all GMC communities. In this capacity, she oversees the day-to-day operations, monthly financials, annual budgets, and vendor contracts. In 2018, Jessica joined the company after a career in the hospitality industry and working in the research department at The Wharton School of Business. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida and holds the designation of CAM through the National Apartment Association.

Rachael Simms

Director

As the director of marketing, Rachel Simms is responsible for the design and creation of all marketing material, digital media platforms, and administration for all GMC communities and the GMC corporate website. Rachael also works with Christopher Simms on new construction and development for new GMC communities. In this capacity, she oversees construction budgets, development timelines, design and site approvals, vendor selection, and is involved in the projects from start to finish. Prior to joining the company in 2020, Rachel worked in the fashion industry for brands such as Athleta and Dick's Sporting Goods. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Design and Merchandising from Drexel University and holds the designation of CAM through the National Apartment Association.

Jeff Simms

Jeffrey Simms

Founder

Jeffrey Simms’ real estate career began in 1985, with the purchase of a single-family rental property in Western New York. Since then, GMC Properties has grown exponentially, expanding into markets around the country. As the founder of GMC Properties, Jeffrey has acquired an outstanding reputation as a developer and operator of commercial, retail, and multifamily property. Jeffrey formally retired from day-to-day operations in 1998. However, he has continued in an advisory position since stepping down. Prior to founding GMC Properties, Jeffrey started and operated a highly successful interior design and retail business in Southwestern New York. Jeffrey served as a lieutenant in the United States Navy, flying EC-121s during the Vietnam War, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from St. Bonaventure University.
